Delicious and inventive food. I am always very picky about Mexican food, particularly when I don’t think it’s authentic, but this was such a great interpretation, using British ingredients. Every dish was unique and equally as great as the next. Particularly loved the mole tacos. Easy to book and friendly staff, laid back but still felt special. Can’t wait to return!

As a huge Mexican cuisine fan, I can say this place is a gem. I wanted to try modern interpretation of traditional dishes, so I picked it as a place to have my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. First, for those who love mezcal-based drinks, I highly recommend to try a smoky paloma. It was not only delicious, it’s also decorated with mix of spices and salt like a glass fell on the sand. None of the courses disappointed, I’d recommend not to skip classics like tacos - Baja taco along with crudo were delish. I liked the variety of salsas, but they could have been spicier to my taste. I was very surprised by dessert, I wanted to try something new and I picked chocolate sorbet, and it was perfect - chocolate, pasilla and sea salt - a dessert I’m still thinking about and would love to come back for.

We had the pleasure of dining at Fonda and the experience was truly excellent in every aspect. The dishes were a perfect blend of creativity and authentic flavors. We started with tacos featuring refined fillings and perfectly balanced flavors, accompanied by fresh sauces and condiments that enhanced every bite. Every dish was meticulously crafted, with original combinations and high-quality ingredients. The service was impeccable: the staff was attentive, professional and always ready to explain each dish.

People say there's no great Mexican food in London, then Fonda arrives and blows that notion out of the water. Honestly the best meal I've had this year. The food is just sensational, so much so it's hard to pick out favourites. The sikil pak (roasted pumpkin seed mole) is a crowd-pleasing start, the baja taco a fantastic chaser. The truffle quesadillas pull off the rare trick of not being overwhelmingly truffley, and the crudo is a must order. The mains are all brilliant - build-your-own tortillas all round. The adobado (monkfish) was a surprising stand out. And finally, having tried all four desserts, the arroz con leche and Santiago's cheesecake are just superb. But what made the meal stand out was the service. Our waiter offered true hospitality - informative, hilarious and warm in equal measure. Fonda will remind you of how good London's best food can be.

Order the cheesecake! Absolutely fantastic food, and a wonderful experience. Everything we ate was delicious and the service was above and beyond - explaining the menu and how many dishes to choose. We (couple) were there for a light lunch so we shared 3 tacos and a main with side. Food exceptional and such care with the balance of flavours! Relaxed atmosphere and slowly filled up from 12.30 so recommend booking. Please do order the cheesecake as it was the best dessert I've eaten for the last 10 years. Best restaurant I've eaten in for ages. Thank you!

Loved every minute, from the friendly service (who described each dish and sauce with perfection) to the most delicious Mexican meal I've had in a while! The music was lovely, the decor was simplistic and it was overall an excellent meal. If I had to fault anything, and this is very hard to do and it requires for me to be extremely picky, is that neighbouring tables were just a little too close. I recommend this place!

We had lunch at Fonda yesterday and were truly impressed by the whole experience. The location itself is beautiful — stylish and welcoming, with a lovely atmosphere that made us feel comfortable and relaxed right away. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive from the moment we arrived. Their warm hospitality and willingness to help with recommendations really stood out and added a personal touch to our meal. As for the food — it was simply outstanding. We ordered a variety of dishes to get a good sense of the menu, and every single one exceeded our expectations. Each plate was not only visually appealing but packed with flavor and clearly prepared with high-quality ingredients. It’s clear that the chefs at Fonda take great pride in their work. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Great location, amazing food, and exceptional service — we couldn’t have asked for more. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
